Greetings, from Cloudbric.

In the beginning of 2021, we released our roadmap for the year 2021, and shared a breakdown of the roadmap in order to provide a thorough understanding of our plans.

Similar to last time, since we have released our revised roadmap last week, we have prepared an additional explanation to provide further insight to the adjusted version of our plans.

  1. Our Business Focus for the Second Half of 2021

a. Establishing Infrastructure for Universal Crypto-asset Payment Services

In order to process universal payments with crypto-assets in offline stores, several problems arise. Such as; a long waiting time of up to several minutes until the final payment is processed, and a transaction fee higher than the amount spent for small-scale payments. Therefore, within on-chain transactions, it is considered to be almost impossible to do payments with Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Due to these obstacles, there have been many attempts to make universal payment with crypto-assets possible.

One of the attempts is through the Layer 2 technology. This technology solves the problem as it freezes the original Bitcoin or Ethereum through a ‘Smart Contract’, then uses another network with a short block processing time, and finally, issues and distributes the same amount of coins. Just like the average credit card payment, with the Layer 2 technology, fast payment processing and low transaction fees will be possible

However, Layer 2 requires an additional expansion of user networks. Without the user networks, it will be difficult to be implemented as a universal service. In order to resolve this, Klaytn’s Klip secured usability and the user network, while Ozys’ Orbit Chain secured cross-chain interoperability, which in turn has enabled for the most efficient universal payment service to this day.

Ozys’ Orbit chain, which operates KLAYswap, is playing a role in connecting the Bitcoin and Ethereum chains with Klaytn.

The KWBTC and KETH, seen on the Klip and Kaikas wallets, are Bitcoin and Ethereum tokenized as KCT on the Klaytn blockchain.

Cloudbric aims to build a real-time direct payment infrastructure for; Klaytn projects, and assets tokenizable as KCT under KLAYswap.

Cloudbric has begun preparations for this payment service since last year. And by the end of last year, through the API provided by Ground X, the Klaytn group was the first to allow Klip’s assets to be transferred in the Cryptobric app.

By using the API function, in September, Cloudbric will start a service that allows users to purchase gift vouchers from major franchises using CLBK and KLAY as payment methods.

(Currently, gift voucher purchasing with CLBK and KLAY is only available in Korea)

Moving forward, the payment methods will be expanded to; Klaytn KCT tokens, and assets tokenized as KCT tokens in KLAYswap, that have been internally reviewed and determined to be considered sustainable.

When it comes to the business-side of direct payments with franchises/stores and P2P payments (peer to peer), it requires a specific license to operate the business, and in order to attain that license virtual asset companies require a high level of expertise. Since Cloudbric is not a business expert in this area, Cloudbric plans to pursue technical cooperation with qualified companies.

b. Cryptobric 3.0-based Global Mobile Security Services

Cryptobric 3.0 will be the stepping stone to our integrated security service, which includes blockchain security.

As brought up in our previous explanation post, Cloudbric is expanding its business to blockchain-based B2C cyber security, through the Cryptobric app, within this year.

Cloudbric’s ultimate goal is to create a cloud-based, integrated security service. Through this security service, Cloudbric will improve the security of personal mobile devices and IoT devices by storing the data obtained through the Cryptobric app as a blockchain. The data that will be blockchained will include cyber attack data and other data from the Threat DB (Hacker Wallet, Phishing URL), and etc. The attack data contained in the block chain will also be diversified, and will be highly competitive and show exerting reliability in the market.

In the future, the Cryptobric app will expand into a B2B business that will provide integrated security services, including blockchain, to companies that provide services such as; crypto-asset wallet, DeFi, and Cryptocurrency Exchanges and platform services.

As Klaytn’s security partner, Cloudbric will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Klaytn.

Through the Cryptobric 3.0, Cloudbric plans on creating a virtuous cycle of a blockchain ecosystem through user participation, rewards, and payments through crypto-assets.

2. The Adjustments of the 2021 Roadmap

a. A New Blockchain-based Service

The blockchain-based universal service with its; high demand from companies, easy implementation and its powerful influence in the global market, was aimed to launch in the second quarter of this year. However, due to; prioritizing in the speedy release of the payment service (with crypto-assets), and prioritizing in the development of projects that weren’t initially in the roadmap, but were highly requested by Cloudbric’s Japanese partners, such as, the ADDoS (Advanced DDoS Protection) and AWS WAF Managed Services, have all caused for the delay of the blockchain-based project.

Both technologies (ADDoS and AWS WAF Managed services) have superb influential impact in the market. And since the ADDoS security service is showing top tier performance amongst global competitors, it has provided a great opportunity to promote Cloudbric’s brand to global markets.

For the second half of 2021, Cloudbric plans on fully investing on the launch of the Cryptobric app 3.0. Due to our determination of this launch, the development of other new services may be delayed.

b. Cryptobric App — iOS version in Development

For the expansion of the Cryptobric app 3.0, Cloudbric has begun developing the iOS version of the app. Due to the nature of the iOS, the scan feature that is available in the Android version will not be available in the iOS version. Therefore the new iOS version will be released in the form of a CLBK and Klay wallet.

Cloudbric is consistently showing progress in making the whitepaper roadmap that was written three years ago a realization. Cloudbric’s progress is disclosed and updated every two weeks through the Cloudbric Progress Report page.

On a side note, in order to push for the implementation of our plans, we have been actively recruiting developers. We are still in the process of expanding our development team to seamlessly carry out our goals.

Lastly, although we have heavily emphasized on the blockchain-related information of our roadmap in this breakdown, if requested, we will provide you with the technical details on topics such as CDN, ADDoS, AWS WAF Managed services, and SSL.

.

.

It has been a year full of new exciting endeavors and milestones for the Cloudbric Team.

Your support and enthusiasm greatly strengthens our growth and determination, and we hope you stay tuned for more exciting updates on our progress!

Thank you and Kind regards,
The Cloudbric Team
