Since May of this year, Cloudbric has participated in a 8-week ‘Express Soaring 1’ program hosted by KIC Silicon Valley and organized by 500 Startups. The final showcase (demoday) was successfully completed on July 2nd, and we were able to connect with not only potential business partners but also VCs in the US. Networking device maker SonicWall sent out an urgent notice to its customers about “an imminent ransomware campaign using stolen credentials” that is targeting Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 100 series and Secure Remote Access (SRA) products running unpatched and end-of-life 8.x firmware. - Updated Joker Malware Floods into Android Apps — Threatpost
The Joker mobile trojan is back on Google Play, with an uptick in malicious Android applications that hide the billing-fraud malware, researchers said. It’s also using new approaches to skirt past Google’s app-vetting process. Once installed, Joker apps silently simulate clicks and intercept SMS messages to subscribe victims to unwanted, paid premium services controlled by the attackers. - Microsoft fixes Windows Hello authentication bypass vulnerability — Bleeping Computer
Microsoft has addressed a security feature bypass vulnerability in the Windows Hello authentication biometrics-based tech, letting threat actors spoof a target’s identity and trick the face recognition mechanism into giving them access to the system.
