The update for the Cloudbric WMS service enhancement has been completed.
Cloudbric WMS is an optimized AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) management service, recognized by Amazon Web Services for its technical expertise and reliability, provided by Penta Security, an AWS WAF Ready and AWS ISV Accelerate partner.
With this update, a new rule, Extension Filtering, has been added to reinforce security, and the service has been improved through data optimization.
- New rule added to reinforce security — Extension Filtering
Access to critical system files has been restricted from attackers through the provision of the Extension Filtering rule.
※ Extension Filtering rule: In cases where access permissions for internal web server files are poorly configure, the file extensions that can be accessed are limited to prevent attackers from accessing critical system files, such as dll, conf, and ini. - Log data optimization
The service loading speed has been improved by removing normal traffic from the logs collected by AWS WAF. Additionally, if X-Forwarded-For (XFF) header information is present, users can view XFF IP address information directly from the list, rather than having to access the detailed log information in the dedicated dashboard, enhancing the user experience.
※ X-Forwarded-For(XFF): A standard header used to identify the origin IP when a proxy server or a load balancer is located in front of the origin web server among the HTTP headers.
